These wooden and paper fans would be a fantastic addition to a group program concentrating on fashion. Most group members will remember the fan as more than an accessory. It enhanced feminine fashion, expressed mood and personality and even occupied nervous hands! Many memories will be shared and special occasions re-lived as stories and demonstrations of fan etiquette are given. Whilst reminiscing, those participating can be designing and decorating the wooden and paper fans to their own level of skill. This is a simple and appropriate way of introducing art and craft into the activity. For the elderly, these fans are a visual reminder of a delightful relic, from an elegant bygone era.
